Erin Wilson is a commercial litigator with extensive and wide-ranging experience defending companies in consumer and employment class actions. Erin serves as Practice Leader of Ballard Spahr's Class Action Litigation practice. Her versatile class action defense practice has included the defense of class action claims in state and federal courts throughout the country, with an emphasis on the courts of Washington and California.
Erin has defended all manner of employment-related class actions, including meal and rest break claims, off-the-clock claims, claims for violation of the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, noncompetition claims, rounding claims, and many others. Erin also has significant experience defending FLSA collective actions throughout the country. She brings her deep knowledge of Rule 23 to these cases, with an eye toward defeating class and/or collective certification.
Erin also defends clients in a broad range of consumer class actions, including claims for violation of the TCPA, various consumer protection acts, breach of warranty, and others. Erin has defended clients across industries, with a particular focus on clients in health care and retail.
In her spare time, Erin spends time adventuring with her husband and three kids, running, and coaching youth girls’ basketball and soccer.
