Katherine Oaks is a trial lawyer and trusted adviser, focusing her practice on white collar criminal defense, internal and government investigations, and complex civil litigation in state and federal court. Katherine formerly served as a public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she defended clients in all aspects of criminal trials in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
In her white collar practice, Katherine represents clients in government investigations and prosecutions for allegations of fraud and corruption, including under Title 18, the False Claims Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, and for allegations of various state crimes, including health care fraud. She has also advised clients facing investigations for alleged environmental crimes under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Clean Water Act, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
