Kevin Hayne is a Litigation associate who focuses his practice on securities enforcement and corporate governance litigation. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Kevin worked as counsel in the Division of Enforcement for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He successfully conducted two investigations resulting in settlement, took on-the-record testimony of two C-suite level witnesses, and researched and applied novel issues in the field of securities regulation of crypto and digital assets in this role. Prior to joining the SEC, Kevin was a litigation associate at a large international law firm headquartered in New York City, where he represented companies in connection with SEC, Department of Justice, and Federal Trade Commission investigations as well as commercial litigations.

While attending law school, Kevin gained additional experience as a summer associate at a New York law firm, and as a legal intern for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS).
