Katherine Oaks is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing her practice on white collar defense, internal and government investigations, and environmental criminal matters. She advises clients in navigating government investigations that involve allegations of fraud and corruption, and in developing corporate compliance programs. Katherine’s experience includes representing entities facing investigations of alleged environmental crimes, including under criminal provisions in TSCA, the Clean Water Act, and RCRA. She has also represented corporate clients in defense and prosecution of CERCLA cost recovery and contribution actions, Clean Air Act permit appeals, and in litigation and mediation with state agencies for remediation of contaminated sites. Additionally, she advises clients on responding to government subpoenas and navigating regulatory inspections.
