Representative Experience
- For a public university in New Jersey, conducted a comprehensive investigation of the university’s DEI offices and claims by co-workers, subordinates, and students of race, age, and disability discrimination, as well as retaliation, involving the highest-ranking officials in the department. This high-profile investigation included a detailed report we produced, which the university used to initiate changes to its DEI function and to defend related claims brought in New Jersey state court.
- Longtime representation of an internationally known orchestra, including partnering with an outside investigator to provide advice and follow-up relating to allegations of sexual harassment against a prominent musician, as well as overseeing internal investigators handling more routine investigations into various workplace issues and claims.
- Conducted internal investigation for professional services firm, involving employee theft and fraud, and successfully sued employee in Arizona Superior Court for theft, fraud, racketeering, and breach of fiduciary duties to clients. We also worked with law enforcement and forensic accountants to assist with criminal prosecution and conducted follow-up to investigate and identify co-conspirators and enforce collection of judgment and recovery of employer’s funds.
