Jessica M. Rizzo is a Litigation associate who focuses her practice on antitrust and competition matters. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, she was a litigator at another firm, where she represented clients in antitrust, white collar and investigations, intellectual property, education, and civil rights matters.

Whether representing a company accused of monopolization, an individual CEO confronting fraud charges, or an ordinary teenage girl facing trouble at school, Jessica is a tenacious advocate and empathetic counselor.

  • Defending video game developer and distributor in class action alleging monopolization under the Sherman Act and mass arbitrations alleging related violations
  • Represented CEO of a collapsed cryptocurrency exchange in civil matters against him and his family, including MDL class action, bankruptcy adversary actions, and regulatory enforcement actions
  • Represented charter school applicant in appealing denial of charter before Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court

Professional Highlights

Pro Bono Experience

Jessica recognizes the importance of access to justice and has represented clients in disputes involving child custody, domestic violence, divorce, quiet title, and landlord-tenant issues. She has advised nonprofit arts organizations on labor issues. She has also argued a Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law case before the Commonwealth Court on behalf of the Youth Sentencing and Reentry Project.
