Simon Michnick is an associate in the firm’s Business and Transactions Department, focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions matters. He has experience drafting business succession plans and preparing motions, mediation statements, discovery requests, and discovery answers. Simon also has experience reviewing franchise documents, including financial statement disclosures, contract addendum, contract breach provisions, and termination requests.
Prior to Ballard Spahr, Simon served as a Student Attorney at the Washington and Lee University School of Law Compliance Practicum in Kiev, Ukraine. He partnered with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) New Justice Program to draft model anti-corruption compliance policies for the Ukrainian Ministries of Justice and Education. He also directed workshops with the Ukrainian Institute of International Relations and Ukrainian law students to implement anti-corruption and academic integrity policies.
