Oluwafunmi Lawal is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department whose practice focuses on commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters. She twice served as a summer associate in Ballard Spahr’s Washington, D.C. office, providing legal research and writing in support of environmental issues litigation. She also contributed to litigation treatises and court proceedings while leading pro bono client calls to better understand client needs.
While attending law school, Oluwafunmi further developed her skills as a student legal clinician with Penn State Dickinson Law's Rural Economic Development Clinic, working with agritourism clients on legal research and client counseling; she also served at Dickinson Law’s Manglona Lab for Gender and Economic Equity Clinic, where she interviewed witnesses to expose historical gender discrimination cases while supporting projects aimed at increasing access to economic justice.
Her experience also includes serving as a legal intern at a national bank, where she supported joint venture project research.
