Shanae T. Jones is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, representing clients in state and federal claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and unfair labor practices, and assisting employers with drafting workplace policies and employee handbooks.

Shanae earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the school’s law review. She also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Shanae worked as a child welfare social worker for the Maryland Department of Human Services.

Pro Bono Experience

Shanae maintains a pro bono practice helping clients who were sentenced to life in prison as juveniles obtain reduced sentences or release under Maryland's Juvenile Restoration Act.
