Best Law Firms: Ballard Spahr Earns 28 Tier 1 National Rankings, 114 Tier 1 Regional Rankings and Litigation – First Amendment Law Firm of the Year

Ballard Spahr received 28 Tier 1 national rankings, 114 Tier 1 regional rankings, and Law Firm of the Year honors for Litigation – First Amendment in the 2027 edition of Best Law Firms released today.

In all, Ballard Spahr earned a total of 219 Best Law Firms rankings for 2027.

Best Law Firms recognizes firms for professional excellence based on feedback provided by clients and other attorneys about performance, capabilities, and professionalism. The Law Firm of the Year honor is awarded to just one firm nationally for each practice area, reserved for the firms that have an outstanding overall performance record in a particular practice area.

Ballard Spahr’s Media and Entertainment Law Group has been a dominant force in Best Law Firms Law Firm of the Year honors for Litigation – First Amendment, with six top annual rankings to its credit, including four of the past six years. For the other two years during that time, the Group was named Law Firm of the Year for Media Law.

The 114 Tier 1 regional rankings across the firm’s 19 offices include new rankings for Gaming Law in Las Vegas, as well as Transportation Law and Litigation – Bankruptcy in Seattle.
