Ballard Spahr attorneys represented Hope Concrete LLC, a leading ready-mix concrete company operating in northern Texas and southern Louisiana, in its recent transaction with Suncrete, Inc., a ready-mix concrete logistics and distribution platform.
Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Suncrete announced the transaction, involving its subsidiaries, on April 29.
Hope Concrete, which operates 10 ready-mix plants and 88 mixer trucks, extends Suncrete’s geographic footprint into two new states and is intended to serve as the Texas platform for future acquisitions, Suncrete said.
Strategically positioned across Oklahoma and Arkansas, Suncrete operates batching plants, a fleet of mixer trucks, and a tech-enabled dispatch infrastructure to support a diversified customer base across public infrastructure, commercial, and residential sectors. Hope Concrete President Tim Foley and his brother, Jim, will continue as equity holders and operational leaders, extending the Foley family’s longtime legacy with Hope.
The Ballard Spahr team that advised Hope Concrete on the transaction was led by Partner Ryan J. Udell and Counsel Adam J. Chelminiak from the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group, and included M&A lawyer Kelly M. Silveira, as well as John J. Eagan, senior counsel in the firm’s Tax Group; Jennifer L. Feden, partner in the Real Estate Department; Peter Jaslow, partner in the Securities and Capital Markets Group; and Lea A. Phillips, leader of the firm’s Environment and Natural Resources Group, as well as Ronald M. Varnum, counsel, and Bertilio “Lio” Correa, associate, from the Environment and Natural Resources Group.
