Ballard Spahr Guides Sale of Co. to Create 'First-of-Its-Kind' Digital Pharmacy Platform

Lawyers from Ballard Spahr’s Life Sciences Industry Team represented Occam Health Services in being acquired by Gifthealth, Inc., creating a “first-of-its-kind digital pharmacy platform and patient access hub solution.”

The combination of Gifthealth—"the nation's largest direct-to-patient partner for manufacturers and a pioneer in digital-first brand experiences”—and Occam Health Services—a provider of comprehensive patient-access solutions—creates “a single-partner platform bringing life-science breakthroughs straight to patients,” Gifthealth said in an announcement.

“Integrating with Occam's high-touch, personalized model positions the combined company to cut through today's fragmented, friction-filled patient journey,” Gifthealth stated.

The Ballard Spahr team that advised Occam was led by Life Sciences Industry Team Co-Leader Ryan J. Udell and Zachary Gorman and included David B. Gross, Mischka Stone, and Daniel Goodman.
