Vanity Fair highlighted David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown's appellate representation of Amber Heard. The article covered Ms. Heard's appeal of the verdict in a defamation case brought by her former husband and noted, "Ballard Spahr defended The New York Times against former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s defamation case, and won, suggesting that they would help frame the appeal more firmly around First Amendment rights."
