Amber Heard Retains Ballard Spahr for Appeal of Defamation Verdict

As The Philadelphia Business Journal noted, Amber Heard has selected David Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown for her appeal of the verdict in a defamation case brought by her former husband.

Messrs. Axelrod and Brown are members of Ballard Spahr's Litigation Department. Mr. Axelrod recently successfully defended The New York Times in a defamation suit brought by Sarah Palin. Mr. Brown is a pre-eminent member of the firm's nationally renowned Media and Entertainment Law team.
