Ballard Spahr Names Jason Boren Salt Lake City Office Managing Partner

July 1, 2022

Litigation Partner Jason D. Boren has been named Office Managing Partner for Ballard Spahr’s Salt Lake City location.

Mr. Boren is an experienced litigator at both the trial and appellate levels. His litigation practice focuses on complex civil and business litigation disputes involving a wide variety of matters, including corporate governance and control, employment, breach of contract, real estate and construction, intellectual property, and false affiliation claims. He also has successfully handled Government Records Access and Management appeals and public procurement litigation for the Utah Communications Authority against unsuccessful vendors.

Mr. Boren succeeds Litigation Partner Mark R. Gaylord, who served as Salt Lake City Office Managing Partner for six years.

“I’m fortunate to assume a role in which I will be building on Mark’s many successes,” Mr. Boren said. “Under his tenure, our office has integrated more fully into the Salt Lake City business scene and become a greater part of the vibrant Silicon Slopes startup and technology community. We’ve handled some of the highest-profile hotel, resort, timeshare, and real estate matters in the Western United States, and provide bet-the-company litigation counsel and critical support to private businesses and government leaders alike. I’m proud of our attorneys’ outstanding work for both clients and the community. I look forward to seeing how we can improve on this solid foundation.”
