Ballard Spahr's Jason Boren, Melanie Vartabedian Among Utah Business' 2022 Legal Elite
Litigation Partners Jason D. Boren and Melanie J. Vartabedian have been named to Utah Business’ 2022 Legal Elite, a list of the state’s best attorneys as voted on by their peers.
Each year, Utah Business invites attorneys to nominate up to eight of their peers for inclusion. The magazine then tallies the number of votes each candidate receives and selects those in the top half of their category. This year, Utah Business partnered with the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law to distribute the survey, helping to ensure a comprehensive survey response.
Mr. Boren is an experienced litigator at the trial and appellate levels. His litigation practice focuses on complex civil and business litigation disputes involving a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and control, employment, breach of contract, real estate and construction, receivership litigation, intellectual property and false affiliation claims. He has also successfully handled GRAMA appeals and public procurement litigation for the Utah Communications Authority against unsuccessful vendors.
Ms. Vartabedian handles complex commercial litigation matters, focusing on consumer financial services litigation, receivership matters and securities litigation, real estate disputes, and diversity and inclusion counseling. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts across the country, and has experience representing clients in arbitrations and government investigations.
