Ballard Spahr Partner Shannon Farmer Inducted Into College of Labor and Employment Lawyers
Shannon D. Farmer, a Philadelphia-based partner in Ballard Spahr’s Labor and Employment Group, has been inducted into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a professional association of the leading attorneys nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law.
Admission to the College is by nomination and a rigorous evaluation process, with a limited number of new Fellows admitted each year. Ms. Farmer and fellow inductees were inducted on November 13 during a ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
Fellows are recognized as distinguished members of the labor and employment community who promote achievement, advancement, and excellence in the practice by setting standards of professionalism and civility, by sharing their experience and knowledge, and by acting as a resource for academia, the government, the judiciary, and the community at large.
With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Farmer represents public and private employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. She conducts collective bargaining negotiations and interest arbitrations, defends employers in all types of employment and civil rights claims, and provides advice and training related to employment policies and other HR needs.
