Phil Tafet is a Litigation associate who focuses his practice on white collar criminal and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Phil worked at a New York-based law firm. In this role, he engaged in broad litigation practice with a focus on white collar criminal defense and complex commercial disputes, represented foreign and domestic clients in all facets of litigation, and handled primary litigation responsibilities in civil matters in federal and state courts.
Phil also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the District Attorney’s Office in Kings County, where he was responsible for all stages of prosecution as first chair on criminal cases including attempted murder, armed robbery, weapons possession, and fraud.
