Phil Tafet is a trial and litigation attorney who represents domestic and international clients in a broad range of high-stakes matters in federal and state courts. His experience includes complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, appellate advocacy, business disputes, and internal investigations. He has worked on matters involving financial institutions, investment firms, technology businesses, and corporations.
Phil brings experience from both the prosecution and defense sides of the legal system. Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York, where he handled all phases of criminal prosecutions and served as first-chair counsel in matters involving violent crimes, fraud, weapons offenses, and other serious felony cases.
Phil also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Andrea Masley of the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, where he gained valuable insight into the adjudication of sophisticated business disputes and commercial cases.

- Represented an individual under investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for health care fraud in a massive health care matter. Our client was a salesman in an alleged billion-dollar fraud alleging fraudulent activities in the medical device field.

- Represented a real estate investment firm in connection with a DOJ investigation in the Central District of California.
