Brett J. Seifarth

Brett counsels companies on all aspects of aviation finance and leasing transactions, and represents aircraft manufacturers in fleet sales, finance, and supply chain matters. These include portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, operating leases, sale-leasebacks, secured loan financings, second lien facilities, warehouse facilities, Pre-Delivery Payment (PDP) financings, commercial paper transactions, residual value and credit support agreements, asset-backed securitizations, bridge financing, and export-credit agency financings. Brett also advises companies and high-net-worth individuals in all aspects of the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, and operation of business aircraft and fractional aircraft interests.

Brett’s experience encompasses advising creditors, independent directors, and investors on matters such as airline bankruptcies, repossessions, restructurings/workouts, and distressed-asset transactions. He also represents issuers, initial purchasers, underwriters, and other financing parties on structured finance matters, including asset-based securitizations involving esoteric asset classes, such as data centers, fiber, and whole business.

Brett previously served as in-house counsel to a global aircraft manufacturer, where he advised the company on legal matters involving sales, finance, contracts, and customer support.
