Kennedy J. Rub focuses her practice on consumer financial services litigation. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, she worked at a global law firm, where she litigated and managed a variety of disputes throughout all levels of the judicial process. In this role, she also served as general counsel to nonprofit organizations, instructed clients on compliance with state and federal laws, and assisted business entities with formation, structuring, and general corporate issues.
While attending law school, Kennedy gained additional experience through legal internships for Champion Women, an advocacy group for women and girls in sports, as well as Clatsop County Circuit Court in Astoria, Oregon, performing family law-related advocacy.

Pro Bono Experience
Kennedy worked as a consulting attorney for Freedom to Marry, a Human Rights Organization, where she drafted memoranda outlining the legal procedures and requirements for obtaining a divorce in each of the 50 United States and various other countries and territories. She also researched, analyzed, and summarized the legal status of same-sex marriage throughout Europe, Asia, and South America.
Kennedy also was a consulting attorney at Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, Inc., where she advised clients regarding the application of Florida condominium and homeowner association laws and statutes.
