Melissa Rezzag is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing on commercial finance matters. She advises lenders, borrowers, and other finance parties across a broad range of deal structures and project types, including senior and mezzanine financings, asset-based loans, and acquisition financings.
Melissa has experience with originating, documenting, and negotiating single-lender, syndicated, and structured loans, as well as other lending structures. Her clients include commercial banks, equipment finance companies, corporate borrowers, and private equity firms.

- Represented a private equity firm in obtaining a $64 million senior and $20 million mezzanine debt to finance the acquisition of a manufacturing company platform.
- Represented a mezzanine lender in a debt and equity investment in acquisition of a professional engineering services company.
- Represented an investment firm in establishing a $40 million revolving credit facility with a state banking institution.

Pro Bono Experience
Melissa is deeply committed to community service and regularly volunteers her legal skills to support underserved populations. Through her work with Prepare + Prosper, she assists low- and moderate-income Minnesota residents in preparing and filing their annual tax returns, helping ensure they receive the credits and refunds to which they are entitled and avoid costly filing errors. Melissa also maintains an active pro bono immigration practice, including naturalization applications, asylum, humanitarian aid, and special immigrant juveniles.
