
Sunghoon Park focuses his practice on electrical engineering/computer software patents within the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He has experience preparing both domestic and international patent applications in the telecommunications, wireless networking, electrical hardware, computer software, and mechanical devices. Sung works with clients to develop effective portfolio strategies for patent applications and prepares responses to office actions before the USPTO and to foreign counsels for international office actions.
Sung has a background in software engineering in the telecommunications industry. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a software engineer at LG Electronics, where he developed a call-processing system for mobile handsets, an Inter-Radio Access Technology handover system between WCDMA and CDMA wireless networks, and an Over-the-Air Activation (OTAA) system that enables subscription activation on single band single mode (SBSM) mobile handsets operating under WCDMA wireless networks.
