Partner She / Her / Hers
San Francisco

Whitney Miner is a seasoned litigator who defends clients in complex commercial, consumer protection, and intellectual property matters, with a special emphasis on defending retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers in consumer-facing disputes—including false advertising and unfair competition claims, Proposition 65, PFAS, and greenwashing claims, privacy claims, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, labor and employment disputes, and much more.

Whitney is a trusted business partner to her clients, assisting them in identifying risk, avoiding unnecessary exposure, and designing proactive strategies that protect both their brands and bottom lines. She is fully invested in client success, with experience in industries from retail and food and beverage to global supply chain, which allows her to bring a sophisticated understanding of how legal disputes intersect with operational realities.

Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Whitney was an attorney in a prominent litigation boutique in San Francisco and the Bay Area office of an Am Law 200 firm.
