Hari Kumar is a trial and appellate attorney with a focus on insurance coverage and commercial liability matters throughout Washington, California, and Oregon.  

Hari’s experience includes litigating complex insurance coverage matters, including environmental, employment, and construction defect claims; advising on government compliance investigations from various state and federal agencies; litigating privacy issues related to the General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Protection Act, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act; and advising on legal and regulatory matters for state and national antitrust regulations and intellectual property matters.

  • Represented autistic minor who was wrongfully removed from his home and placed into foster care at three years old, securing a $7 million verdict for the family after a five-day federal jury trial in the Western District of Washington
  • Successfully represented a client in a breach of contract dispute, securing a favorable settlement that included client's damages and attorney's fees in King County Superior Court
  • Represented insurer in property claim dispute securing dismissal of Washington Insurance Fair Conduct Act and Washington Consumer Protection Act claims in King County Superior Court
