Brittany Johnson is a Litigation associate who focuses her practice on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, privacy and data security, and retail and e-commerce. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, she worked in the Los Angeles office of a Chambers-ranked law firm, where she handled all stages of complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. She represented clients in a wide range of industries in business disputes, class actions, and multidistrict litigation matters involving breach of contract, business torts, data privacy, consumer protection, and product liability.

In this role, Brittany also gained experience as a full-time secondee for a major multinational technology and retail company, where she acted as corporate counsel. She advised business teams on a wide array of issues impacting services and operations, assessed legal risk and developed mitigation approaches, and drafted and led negotiations on various commercial contracts.

While attending law school, Brittany had a legal internship with the Electronic Frontier Foundation and a global data privacy research assistant position with Professor Paul M. Schwartz.
