Christopher A. Hatfield handles a variety of matters related to white collar defense, internal investigations, government investigations, and civil litigation. Chris has experience with matters involving allegations of bribery and honest services fraud, computer fraud, mail and wire fraud, disclosing restricted personal information, antitrust violations, and legal malpractice. He also handles internal corporate investigations.

Representative Matters

  • First-chaired three-day jury trial in D.C. Superior Court in property damage lawsuit filed by tenant against landlord
  • Represented multiple individuals in investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and related Congressional investigations
  • Represented former executive of government contracting company accused of honest services fraud and found not guilty after two-week jury trial in Eastern District of Virginia
  • Conducted internal investigation for a Fortune 500 company in response to shareholder demand letter

Pro Bono Experience

Chris has handled pro bono representations involving landlord/tenant disputes and unemployment benefits.
