As a member of Ballard Spahr's Media and Entertainment Law Group, Scott defends the media in defamation, privacy, and related First Amendment litigation and has prosecuted several high-profile entertainment matters. His docket also includes the defense and prosecution of cases for a number of Fortune 500 corporations on matters ranging from intellectual property enforcement to product liability, mass tort, and complex business and commercial real estate disputes.

Pro Bono Experience
Scott is committed to providing legal services pro bono to those in need. During law school, Scott defended individuals charged with criminal violations from their first bail hearing to trial. He also worked with the ACLU to protect protestors' First Amendment rights at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and taught "Know Your Rights" seminars which educated members of the community on how to properly assert their constitutional rights during interactions with police.
At Ballard Spahr, Scott has prosecuted a federal civil rights action against a city police department, represented undocumented immigrants in obtaining U-Visas reserved for victims of criminal activity, and prosecuted claims on behalf of a tenant who was wrongfully evicted from rent-controlled housing. He also has represented homeless individuals in court proceedings to resolve outstanding minor warrants.
