Katherine Durant is an associate in the firm’s Business and Transactions Department, where she advises businesses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Before joining Ballard Spahr, Katherine practiced at a Minneapolis law firm, where she counseled private equity sponsors, strategics, and privately held companies on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and finance.

Katherine has represented clients in middle-market buy-side and sell-side transactions, including platform acquisitions, add-ons, and divestitures. She has experience across a range of industries, including restaurant and franchise concepts, manufacturing, consumer, aftermarket automative, and business services.
