Sarah Elena De Los Santos Samaniego is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group. She supports clients across regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters. She served two terms as a summer associate in Ballard Spahr’s Denver office, where she drafted legal briefs, client-facing communications, purchase and sale agreements, internal research memoranda, deposition materials, and procedural case summaries in preparation for mediation.

Before joining Ballard Spahr, Sarah Elena gained valuable experience as a legal researcher with the Office of Alternative Defense in Denver and the Colorado Access to Justice Commission, conducting research, reviewing discovery, and providing Spanish-to-English translation for case materials. She also brings nearly a decade of prior professional experience spanning consulting, project development and management, and client relationship development. In her most recent role, she was a senior sustainability consultant, where she led Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance initiatives and advised international real estate investment clients on regulatory strategy across U.S. and E.U. frameworks.
