Sarah Elena De Los Santos Samaniego is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group. She supports clients across regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters. She served two terms as a summer associate in Ballard Spahr’s Denver office, where she drafted legal briefs, client-facing communications, purchase and sale agreements, internal research memoranda, deposition materials, and procedural case summaries in preparation for mediation.
She also brings nearly a decade of experience spanning consulting, project development and management, grant writing, and client relationship development. In her most recent role as a senior sustainability consultant, she supported international real estate investment clients in tracking GHG emissions, assessing climate risk, developing green leasing language, achieving commercial building certifications, delivering trainings to fund and property managers, completing GRESB reporting, and navigating regulatory compliance across evolving U.S. and E.U. frameworks.
