Ballard Spahr's Scott Marty, Peg Sonnenfeld Shortlisted for LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards 2026 Honors

Two Ballard Spahr Intellectual Property Department attorneys have been shortlisted for recognition at the 2026 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards. They are:
- Scott D. Marty, Ph.D.—Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year, South
- Margaret “Peg” Sonnenfeld, Ph.D. (Brivanlou)—Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year, New York
Scott was previously named Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year – South at the LMG Life Sciences Awards Americas 2022. He co-leads Ballard Spahr’s Life Sciences Industry Team, a group of lawyers—many of whom hold advanced degrees in the sciences—who focus on corporate, litigation, IP and real estate matters specific to the life sciences industry.
In her practice, Peg represents biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and institutions in the spectrum of patent matters, including patent prosecution and portfolio development and management. She also advises investment funds and other clients on the intellectual property aspects of transactions, including licensing as well as transfer of technology and other assets.
LMG’s Life Sciences Americas Awards recognize the region’s most distinguished practitioners and their firms for their exemplary work in the Life Sciences legal practice over the past 12 months. Practitioners and teams across the United States and Canada are represented in categories including regulatory, corporate, intellectual property, and litigation.
