Ballard Spahr Honored with American Lawyer's Media Advocacy Award

Ballard Spahr’s Media and Entertainment Law Group has received the American Lawyer’s Media Advocacy Award, as part of the 2025 American Lawyer Industry Awards. This honor recognizes excellence in advocacy for freedom of the press, and for protection of journalists in all forms of media.

The Ballard Spahr Media and Entertainment Law team was selected for the award in recognition of its work and leadership on high-profile litigation in the media industry, including its representation of media organizations like The Associated Press, The New York Times Company, and Politico.

Ballard Spahr recently was named Law Firm of the Year for Media Law by Best Law Firms, recognized for national excellence in the 2025 Legal 500 Annual Guide, and ranked as Band 1 in Media and Entertainment Law in Washington, D.C. Ballard Spahr also received the American Lawyer’s Tony Mauro Media Lawyer Award in 2022 and 2020.
