Beverly Quail Elected to American Bar Association's Board of Governors

Beverly J. Quail, one of the country's leading real estate attorneys and a retired partner at Ballard Spahr, has been elected to the American Bar Association's (ABA) Board of Governors.

"I'm honored to give back to my profession by accepting this role," Ms. Quail said. "Making meaningful contributions to the practice of law has long been important to me, and is a firmwide priority for Ballard Spahr."

The Board of Governors has 43 members, 19 of whom are district representatives. Ms. Quail will represent District 11, which comprises Colorado, Arizona and Oklahoma.

Ms. Quail served in the ABA's House of Delegates for 15 years and is a prior chair of the organization's Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section.

Ms. Quail graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1974 and went on to practice law for 42 years. Before retiring from Ballard Spahr in 2016, she served on the firm's elected board for nine years. Ms. Quail currently devotes her time to causes that promote excellence in the legal industry and further the pursuit of justice. She is also a recipient of the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law's Alumni Professionalism Award, a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and a Fellow of the American and Colorado Bar Foundations.
