The event description:

Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling that tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act are unconstitutional, organizations must remain vigilant and not forgo trade and tariff compliance. This session will reinforce how the Department of Justice (DOJ) has made tariff and customs enforcement a top priority, utilizing criminal and civil statutes as significant enforcement tools. Learn how the risk profile for all organizations that import goods or component parts is increased in light of enhancements to DOJ’s Corporate Whistleblower Program. Panelists will cover strategies on the defense of tariff and customs enforcement and will include in that discussion the DOJ’s increased incentives for voluntary self-disclosure.
