Peter Hardy is speaking at the 39th Annual National Institute on Criminal Tax Fraud and the 12th Annual National Institute on Tax Controversy, where attendees will learn about strategies for experienced practitioners when representing clients in examination, at appeals, and during criminal investigations. Mr. Hardy's panel "The Use of Mail and Wire Fraud Charges in Tax Cases and Its Consequences" will discuss how and why mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering charges work their way into many criminal tax indictments. The panelists will discuss why they are included, the Department of Justice guidelines including such charges, and the possible consequences for those charged.
