The CFPB posted a charter calling for a smaller group of credit union employees to be appointed to its credit union advisory council than have been in the past. This could be a sign that the CFPB could be preparing to reorganize the group. The advisory council may also meet less frequently.
An aide to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said that Ms. Warren intends to block the confirmation of Kathy Kraninger as permanent director of the agency by pushing for an extended floor debate.
Alan Kaplinsky, Co-Practice Leader for Ballard Spahr's Consumer Financial Services Group said, "As a result, it is unlikely that Kraninger will be confirmed before the November mid-term election."
