Jenny N. Perkins regularly handles complex commercial litigation, with particular experience in consumer finance litigation and defending individual and class action lawsuits brought by consumers in the areas of federal and state consumer protection laws and mortgage banking. In addition, Jenny handles commercial litigation involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and professional negligence claims. In June 2013, Jenny was second chair for a case in which the team received a federal jury verdict on behalf of an insurance broker client after a six-day trial.

Before joining Ballard Spahr, served as consumer frauds and protection bureau summer intern for the Office of the New York State Attorney General.

Pro Bono Experience

Jenny maintains an active pro bono practice. She coordinates a cross-office U Visa Practice Group that assists immigrants who are victims of crime petition for immigration relief and apply for U Visas. She also advises nonprofit organizations on intellectual property matters. She received Ballard Spahr’s 2012 Pro Bono Award, for significant pro bono service.
