Erik Johnson is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing on consumer financial services matters. He has represented national insurance carriers, businesses, and individuals in complex federal and state cases involving arson and fraud, commercial litigation, premises liability, and insurance coverage disputes. Focusing on consumer financial services matters, he regularly represents banks, lenders and other financial institutions in a variety of individual, class action and arbitration matters, including claims brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), and state Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP). Erik also has experience litigating threshold jurisdictional issues, including those related to arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act.

Erik has extensive experience drafting opinion letters, complex pleadings, dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, and various memoranda, as well as supervising discovery and issuing subpoenas.
