Douglas M. Fox practices corporate, securities, and alternative entity law, and represents public and privately held companies in a range of industries and businesses.
These industries and businesses include real estate investment trusts (REITs), mutual funds, and other investment vehicles and companies, as well as life science, solar and solar finance, wireless communications, and computer gaming and edutainment companies. Doug advises clients on issues of capital raising, equity compensation, board responsibilities, mergers and acquisitions, change-in-control and proxy contests, takeover defenses, and governance. He represents special board committees in change in control and conflict situations. His background as a Licensed Professional Engineer often provides him with a better understanding of his clients' businesses, technologies, and objectives.
