Ballard Spahr's Leslie John, Leita Walker Named to Benchmark Litigation's Top 250 Women

Ballard Spahr Partners Leslie E. John and Leita Walker have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women.

Ms. John was recognized in the Northeast category. She is the Practice Leader of Ballard Spahr's Antitrust and Competition Group and Co-Leader of its False Advertising Litigation Team. She concentrates on complex litigation and has represented clients—many of them in the pharmaceutical and health care industries—in federal and state courts and before the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. Ms. John is actively engaged with efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal industry. She has served as the co-president of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group and was the 2021 Gender Equity Champion Award winner from Women’s Way.

Ms. Walker was recognized in the Midwest category. A member of Ballard Spahr’s nationally recognized Media and Entertainment Law Group, she defends media organizations in libel litigation and helps them obtain access to governmental and judicial records. She has successfully advocated for greater audiovisual recording in Minnesota courtrooms and has been nationally recognized for her work on behalf of journalists and news organizations in the wake of the May 2020 shooting of George Floyd.
