The CFPB's highly anticipated proposed debt collection rule will be released in connection with the CFPB Town Hall on May 8, 2019 at the University of Pennsylvania. Director Kraninger recently indicated that the proposal will include limits on the number of calls collectors can make on a weekly basis, address communications by email and text, and require new disclosures at the beginning of the collection process.

Join us as we discuss this new proposed rule, other likely restrictions, and the impact this could have on creditors, debt collectors and debt buyers.
