Jacob Trachtenberg is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department who focuses his practice on housing and real estate finance matters. Before attending law school, Jacob held positions in the real estate industry, including brokerage, acquisitions, and property management. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Jake was a summer associate at Ballard Spahr, where he conducted legal research on various areas of law, including securities registration exemptions, zoning restrictions, and fair use. He also drafted loan documents for build-to-rent development and other real estate projects.
Jacob gained additional experience at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where he drafted memoranda on duty to defend, veil piercing, breach of contract, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act claims.
