Anna Schmelzle is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, specializing in housing and real estate finance and real estate law matters. Anna's practice includes preparing and reviewing a variety of loan documents for loans secured by mixed-use developments, hospitality assets, office buildings, and multifamily properties. She has additional experience in the areas of branded residential and country club communities and condominiums.
Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Anna worked at an Am Law 100 firm where she advised institutional lenders in the origination and structuring of commercial mortgage-backed security loans and warehouse lending facilities.
Anna gained further experience as a legal intern for the Criminal and Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, and as a judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
