Eric Sable is a trademark and copyrights associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, specializing in domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. He serves as counsel to large multinational companies and assists in managing extensive client trademark portfolios, overseeing IP strategy, obtaining new registrations, and leading enforcement measures, including interfacing with U.S. Customs. Eric also has substantial experience with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) oppositions and cancellations, as well as domain name acquisition and enforcement, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown measures.

Prior to his role at Ballard Spahr, Eric spent nearly a decade as a Trademark Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He brings a unique agency perspective to his practice and enjoys navigating complex trademark prosecution challenges for his clients.

Eric maintains a thriving pro bono practice, providing guidance on intellectual property matters to a variety of nonprofit organizations, startups, and small businesses.
