Greg Pyle advises clients in corporate governance, business, and transactional matters, with a focus on complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, health care transactions, and providing outside general counsel services to successful private companies.

Greg works across industries with particular experience in nonprofits, food and distribution, agribusiness, and heavy industry. Greg enjoys serving clients as outside general counsel and getting to know and understand successful businesses and nonprofits in the Northwest. He prides himself on providing practical advice and strategic insight and routinely handles corporate governance and strategic transactions, including debt and equity offerings, acquisitions, and multigenerational transfers.

He also has unique skills in health care and life science matters. Greg represents clients across the health care delivery system from major research institutions and health information technology companies, to working with national senior living operators and investors. He spent time as a seconded attorney to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where he negotiated its clinical trial and other sponsored research agreements with a variety of major life sciences companies.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
M&A counsel to Fred Hutch in its strategic transaction with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, University of Washington, and Seattle Children’s as well as ongoing clinical trial and other technology transfer agreements.

Various Agribusinesses
Acted as special M&A counsel to several multigenerational family growers and packers in Central and Eastern Washington in a series of strategic transactions and recapitalizations totaling more than $1 billion.

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd
Represented NPI in its $285 million acquisition of operating assets from Weyerhaeuser.

Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd.
Represented Tokai in its $310 million acquisition of Sid Richardson Carbon, Ltd. including operating assets in Texas and Louisiana.

Harbor Foods Group, Inc.
Multiple strategic acquisitions including certain assets acquired from Food Services of America as part of its 2019 merger with US Foods.

Abeja Trust
Acquisition of Abeja Winery and related assets.

Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR)
Represented CIDR (a world leading infectious disease research nonprofit) in its combination with Seattle Children’s Research Institute.

Family Offices
Outside corporate counsel to family offices including structuring and governance as well as transactions and investments.
