Brian R. Peltier

Brian Peltier is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing his practice on public finance matters. He has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and borrower’s counsel on a variety of financings and structures, including charter school, renewable energy, higher education and multifamily housing matters. Brian has experience representing governmental entities, investment banks, schools and other private entities. He also has experience drafting bond documents, official statements, remarketing circulars, continuing disclosure agreements and bond resolutions relating to both tax-exempt and taxable bond issuances.

Prior to Ballard Spahr, Brian worked in private practice serving in the roles of bond counsel, purchaser’s counsel and borrower’s counsel. Prior to private practice, Brian interned in the general counsel’s office of a leading Minneapolis-based middle-markets investment bank, where he focused on fixed income sales and public finance business lines.

Brian’s experience also includes interning with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Office of Municipal Securities Office in Washington, D.C. through the SEC’s Student Honor’s Program.
