
Brian Peltier is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing his practice on public finance matters. He has compiled a variety of legal documents related to complex issues affecting the municipal securities markets, reviewed self-regulatory organization rule filings, and reviewed securities disclosure amendments.
Prior to Ballard Spahr, Brian worked in private practice serving in the roles of bond counsel, purchaser’s counsel and borrower’s counsel. Prior to private practice, Brian gained experience interning in the general counsel’s office of a leading Minneapolis-based middle-markets investment bank, where he drafted and edited agreements, researched and advised on new regulatory requirements, and coordinated multistage projects with key stakeholders. Brian’s experience also includes interning with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Office of Municipal Securities Office in Washington, D.C. through the SEC’s Student Honor’s Program.
