Michael R. McDonald is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department, where he advises clients in a range of matters, including white collar, employment discrimination, and legal malpractice, as well as in structured finance. Prior to attending law school, Mike worked as a field organizer and fellow at the U.S. Public Interest Research Group and as Director of the Office of Campus Ministry at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania.

Mike served clerkships with the federal courts as well as with: the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, where he reviewed and advised on civil rights law, discrimination complaints, and subpoena requests; the Asociación Civil de la Igualdad y la Justicia in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he researched and advised on international open-government policy, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and international anti-corruption conventions; and the Brennan Center for Justice, where he reviewed and advised on campaign finance and legislative redistricting law.

Pro Bono Experience

Mike has worked pro bono for the New York City Law Department, taking and defending depositions, and has represented a client in bringing discrimination claims against his employer. During law school, he served with Penn Law Advocates for the Homeless and International Human Rights Advocates.
