BK Katzmann is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing on public finance matters. They represent cities, governmental authorities, 501(c)(3) entities, investment banks, and private companies on a variety of tax-exempt and taxable debt financings. They have experience preparing bond documents, offering statements, continuing disclosure agreements, tax certificates, and legal opinions.
Prior to law school, BK worked as a teacher in public and private schools and administered nonprofit programming. BK draws from their prior experiences to analyze complex legal issues and develop practical solutions for nonprofit, public, and corporate clients.

Pro Bono Experience
BK maintains an active pro bono practice, primarily representing transgender and nonbinary clients in name change matters. In addition to individual representation, BK is working with the Philadelphia Name Change Project to centralize the client intake process and train other pro bono attorneys to expand access to representation through the legal name change process.
