Theodore J. Hartl represents bankruptcy trustees, debtors, and creditors in bankruptcy litigation, asset liquidation, and insolvency matters. He represents secured lenders and interested parties in prosecuting and defending their interests under the Bankruptcy Code. Ted also represents receivers, financial institutions, and corporate and individual clients in non-bankruptcy workouts, administrative enforcement actions, and in commercial disputes in state and federal courts.

Before private practice, Ted served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Cordova, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, and as a law clerk to the Honorable Joette Katz, Associate Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.

  • Receiver's counsel in Ponzi scheme and real estate cases arising from enforcement actions commenced by Colorado Securities Commissioner.
  • Receiver's counsel in business liquidations arising from enforcement actions commenced by Administrator of Colorado Uniform Consumer Credit Code.
  • Claw-back litigation and asset liquidation through trial and appeals in receivership cases.
  • Business cases involving partnership disputes, minority shareholder claims, breach of fiduciary duty, and self-dealing.
  • Judgment enforcement and collection actions.
