Peter Hvidston is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Department, focusing on development, transactions and construction. He represents clients in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. His experience includes managing and facilitating real estate due diligence and closings, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, easements and commercial leases. In addition to his transactional real estate practice, Peter also has experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of construction contracts on behalf of owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as experience in evaluating and managing the enforcement and defense of mechanic’s liens.
Peter previously worked in the title industry and has experience resolving title matters and negotiating title policy coverage.

Representative Matters
- Represented national REIT client in acquisition of three retail stores located in Arizona and New Mexico for $4.5 million and the creation and negotiation of a Master Lease of the sites back to the Seller/Tenant. Including negotiation of a Shopping Center REA, waivers of rights of first refusal, and a partial sale/taking by the AZ Department of Transportation on a small portion of one site.
- Represented national REIT client in acquisition of two motorcycle dealerships located in Nebraska and Iowa for $14 million and the creation and negotiation of a Lease of each site back to the Seller/Tenant, which separate leases were cross-collateralized and cross-defaulted. Included taking an assignment of an option to purchase one of the sites, so involved a third-party seller on one site as well.
- Represented national REIT client in acquisition of eight pharmacies and one distribution center located in NJ, AL, KS, OH, MI, WI, MS, and KY for $32.7 million, along with the creation and negotiation of a Lease of each site back to the Seller/Tenant. Included franchise component with seller/tenant as well.
