Drew Hensley is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department focusing on domestic and international trademark portfolio management, brand development and protection, and trademark and copyright litigation and enforcement. He is also involved in patent litigation, patent portfolio management, and related commercial disputes. Drew’s patent experience has spanned a broad range of technologies and industries such as software and hardware for the internet, biomedical and genetic technology and research methods, children’s toys, and international designs.
Prior to Ballard Spahr, Drew worked at the Center for Public Health Law and Policy, where he aided public health leaders locally and nationally on a wide spectrum of emerging issues. He focused primarily on developing strategies for combating the opioid epidemic and addressing outbreaks of vaccine-preventable disease at institutions of higher education. He was also 2019 Ballard Spahr Summer Associate.
Drew is a Phoenix native. Before his legal career, Drew was an award-winning vocalist, a cappella composer, and vocal percussionist.
