Drew Hensley is a distinguished associate in Ballard Spahr’s Intellectual Property Department whose practice focuses on high-stakes patent litigation and all aspects of brand management, including trademark litigation, enforcement, and prosecution, portfolio maintenance, and brand development.
Drew’s patent litigation practice spans a broad range of technologies and industries, including software and hardware for the internet, biomedical and genetic technology, and international designs.He has served as a key member on several patent litigation teams, including teams who invalidated patents asserted by prolific patent trolls and won a jury trial defending a technology client facing potential liability exposure of nearly half a billion dollars. Drew has also played an integral role on multiple teams who achieved affirmance of court judgments and jury verdicts at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also helped guide clients in a variety of business sectors through negotiations and resolution of patent infringement claims.
